Desillusion Utopia est un ouvrage de photographie qui rassemble plusieurs années de travail autour du skate, du surf et du voyage.
Plutôt que de se concentrer sur la performance, l’auteur s’intéresse aux personnes et à leur manière d’évoluer dans leur environnement. Les images, prises dans différents lieux (Los Angeles, Mexique, Sahara, Hawaï…), montrent des individus, des ambiances et des moments du quotidien, entre ville et nature.
Le livre propose une approche personnelle et progressive du regard de l’auteur, qui évolue au fil de ses déplacements et de ses rencontres. On y retrouve notamment des figures comme Tony Alva ou Ethan Lau.
