Garrett Strang est un photographe américain, installé en France depuis dix ans et fasciné par l'appropriation de l'espace public parisien par une variété de personnes au coeur d'un kaléidoscope culturel. Ses vues sont prises sur le vif, sans calcul, crues et criantes de vérité, "in the raw", comme il le définit lui-même. Il saisit l'instant où les objets et les personnes sont en lévitation, où les regards interrogent l'objectif. Mystère et glamour sont au rendez-vous. Autant de moments magiques et fugitifs d'un Paris "on the edge". Pour Christine Spengler qui signe la préface, le photographe nous offre ici "une vision intemporelle de Paris dans laquelle il a capturé tous les thèmes de photographes mythiques comme Robert Doisneau, Brassaï et André Kertész".
