En 1974, le photographe toulousain Jean Dieuzaide publia à compte d’auteur Mon aventure avec le Brai imprimé chez Pierre Miraval à Saint-Pons de Thomières. Tiré à mille exemplaires, d’une qualité d’impression exceptionnelle, cet ouvrage ouvrit la voie aux livres d’auteurs qui participèrent à transformer la photographie française dans la seconde partie des années soixante-dix. Il s’agit d’une aventure intérieure et photographique unique, sorte de transe qui s’était emparée d’un homme en prise avec ses démons, ses pulsions sexuelles ou macabres révélés par une esthétique et un sens de la lumière affirmés.

Cette nouvelle édition reprend les images originales et les textes de l’époque, quelques illustrations supplémentaires et une note de l’éditeur.
