La Crète : berceau de nombreux mythes grecs et terre supposée du peuple de l’Atlantide. Le photographe Nyima Marin devrait bien connaître cette île, il y est né en 1987. Pourtant il n’en garde aucun souvenir. A travers ce premier ouvrage, composé de neuf poèmes et de cyanotypes d’un bleu perçant, il essaie de renouer avec ses origines. Les images sont brutes, presque archaïques. En creux se dévoilent les derniers vestiges intemporels qui relient le Parisien à cette terre rocheuse, jadis engloutie par les eaux, où une partie de lui est restée prisonnière, tel le Minotaure piégé dans son labyrinthe. Ce livre compose un adieu à cette créature mi-homme mi-taureau, esclave de ses pulsions primaires et alter ego du photographe en quête d’un paradis perdu.
